Artists and architects are welcome to join us in a workshop involving deep listening as a key skill for art and architecture, applicable to their work with public agencies, collaborators, communities, and co-workers.

Deep Listening is a key skill for art and architectural practice. In this workshop, interdisciplinary artist, writer, and educator Jeff Kasper will facilitate a number of short writings, mapping, active listening, interpersonal dialogue, and group discussion exercises that are designed to bridge the gap between differences and can be adapted for future collaborations. Artists and architects are welcome to join us in a workshop involving listening strategies applicable to their work with public agencies, clients, collaborators, communities, and co-workers.

Jeff Kasper is an interdisciplinary artist, writer, and educator working in public art, design, and social engagement. He creates pedagogical tools, text-based projects, social spaces, publications, games, exhibitions, community education, and workshops, often in partnership with organizations. Much of his recent work examines the dynamics of social support, proximity, and safety, with a focus on how people practice care and collaboration, especially in times of conflict and crisis.

The course has been approved for AIA CES 3.0 LUs. Use Promo Code AIAMEMBER to register for Free.
