Ostap is a registered architect and founding partner of Clouds Architecture Office. He received his Masters degree from Harvard University Graduate School of Design after completing undergraduate studies at the Architectural Association in London and Carnegie Mellon University. He is a Visiting Associate Professor at Pratt Institute and has lectured at the Academy of Art in Gdansk, Poland and Carnegie Mellon University. His work has been exhibited at the Storefront for Art and Architecture, Biennale Internationale Design in France, the Victoria Museum in Australia and MIT’s Media Lab. Ostap’s work has been published in Bracket’s [On Farming], The BLDGBLOG Book, Dezeen’s Book of Ideas, High Line – The Inside Story of New York City’s Park in the Sky, and Utopia Forever, among others.
Masa is a founding partner of CLOUDS Architecture Office. He holds Masters Degrees from University of Washington and Kobe University, Japan. Masa has worked on projects ranging from national museums to public arts. He was awarded the American Institute of Architects Public Project of the Year Award with his winning design for the competition of 9/11 Memorial built in Staten Island NY. Masa has taught at Pratt Institute and lectured at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, AIA Staten Island and Kobe University. He has taken part in art installations at AIA New York Center for Architecture, Venice Biennale Future Pass, MoMA PS1 and Shanghai MOCA. Masa’s work has been published in Architectural Record, A+U, The New York Times, New York Calling, The Politics of Urban Beauty, among others.
