Join us for Keep It Modern: A Talk by Bob Gregson. The definition of the term “modern” is elusive. Bob Gregson explores the idea of modern and what it has meant in the 20th century from high style to pop culture. This playful talk touches on issues of preservation of ways to “Keep It Modern.” With an emphasis on design and play, Gregson aims for his art to create a link between viewer and creator. The former director of the CT Department of Culture and Tourism, he received a BFA from the Hartford Art School and an MFA from the Art Institute of Chicago. His art has been displayed in New York, Chicago, and Washington D.C, and featured in collections at the New Britain Museum and the Housatonic Museum of Art. He teaches, and is the author and illustrator of multiple books for educators that instruct on games, art, and play. The talk is free. Join us for this can’t-miss event!
