Carnegie Hill Walking Tour with Keith Taillon of Keithyorkcity

Join Cooper Hewitt for a walking tour of Manhattan’s Carnegie Hill neighborhood, home to Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum. New York City expert historian Keith Taillon will share the fascinating history of Cooper Hewitt’s neighborhood and inhabitants.

On the walk around Carnegie Hill, we’ll examine what’s left of the neighborhood Mr. Carnegie would have known during his lifetime. We’ll look at surviving mansions and infrastructure, and discuss the history of Central Park, the New York Central Railroad, and the Yorkville neighborhood.
