Join us for our final outdoor movie of the summer and get ready to fall in love all over again with Moonstruck (1987), now 35 years old and "one of the most enchanting romantic comedies of all time...a tender and boisterously funny look at a multigenerational Italian American family in Brooklyn" (Criterion). Directed by Norman Jewison and written by John Patrick Shanley, Moonstruck stars the inimitable Cher, a young Nicolas Cage, and the late Olympia Dukakis, Danny Aiello, John Mahoney, and Vincent Gardenia, among other notables.
This edition of Moonlight & Movies accompanies our new exhibition, Food in New York: Bigger Than the Plate. Warning: explicit eating, drinking, and baking scenes.
