Join folks from across the borough for Brooklyn FAM’s 3rd annual flagship festival of arts and music, presented in partnership with the Prospect Park Alliance. This year’s event embraces Brooklyn FAM’s 2023 theme of multi-sensory storytelling for transformative healing with a vibrant, truly unique celebration of West African, Jewish, and Arab cultures featuring 30 Brooklyn-based artists across music, folkloric dance, dance-theater, puppet theater, West African and Palestinian dance workshops, and artmaking. The main stage will feature Yacouba Sissoko, Siren – Protectors of the Rainforest, Isle of Klezbos, WonderSpark Puppets, Freedom Dabka Group, and Zahra Alzubaidi & Friends.

On adjoining lawns, participate in a Community Circle of conversation, Jewish improvisational singing, and West African drumming. Help create the new public art project Let the Sun Shine In with artists Ellie D’Eustachio and Hekima Hapa, and stop by craft stations with community partners the Jewish Children’s Museum, Arab American Association of NY, and Kente Fest NY.

Participate in the unveiling of Patchwork Quilt and A Tree Comes Alive in Brooklyn with artists Sylvia Hernandez and Magalí Wilensky. These are two public art projects that YOU, Brooklyn fam, helped create at 8 events across the borough this year! They and Let the Sun Shine In will be exhibited on three floors of the Brooklyn Children’s Museum from mid-November 2023 through March 2024.

Delicious Lebanese kosher, Mediterranean halal, and Senegalese lunch options from Brooklyn vendors will be available for purchase.
