Powerhouse Arts is a new 170,000-square feet art fabrication facility and event space located in Gowanus, Brooklyn. The project included the renovation of the abandoned former Turbine Hall of the BRT power station, remediation of the brownfield site, and a new cast-in-place concrete addition to support the fabrication of large-scale art in NYC. Workshop space is provided for fabrication in metal, wood, printmaking, textiles, and ceramics, along with flexible event and gallery spaces.
