Let’s celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the East End Historic District with a toast! East End Gin is a handcrafted spirit using sixteen carefully selected botanicals, including Italian juniper and fresh citrus peel, resulting in a beautifully balanced, crisp gin. East End Gin gets its name from the historic district of Newburgh, known as the “East End,” which is where Spirits Lab Distillery is located.
Discover the origins and evolution of the East End Historic District by first hand accounts of those that helped establish it and continue to steward it.
Also, learn about future projects including the Fullerton’s Preserve New York (PNY) grant which will re-examine the boundaries of the East End Historic District by conducting a Cultural Resource Survey of neighborhoods south of Downing Park. The study will identify important architectural, historical, and social narratives associated with underrepresented communities.
