Look! Mira! Walking Tour- Johnston Street

This walking tourcelebrates the under-recognized architectural, historical and social gems ofJohnston Street. The tour will focus on the street’s progression and itsbeginnings as Newburgh’s first major housing development, fueled by a pressureto urbanize and create new urban corridors. Along our walk, we’ll stand beforeone of the oldest and most recently-restored buildings, and take in somebuilding shells—all while exploring the social history and stories behind whatwe encounter. We’re looking to gather more contemporary histories, so if youhave some, please share along the walk!
