US Premiere
In The Mies van der Rohes, filmmaker Sabine Gisiger introduces us to the many women who impacted the life of world-renowned architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Drawing on a private archive of footage, photos, and documents, the film retells the story of this iconic architect as remembered by his eldest daughter, Georgia.
Following the film will be a Q&A with Architect Dirk Lohan, grandson of Meis van der Rohe.
This film is screening as a part of ADFF:NY 2023.
Archtober is a NYC-based platform that promotes the discovery of architecture and design through experiences and content, culminating in a month-long festival every October.
