The new Sunset Park Library, designed by Mitchell Giurgola, embodies the goals and aspirations of a diverse group of stakeholders, including Brooklyn Public Library, New York City, New York State, and the local community. The brightly colored, well-lit adult and children's spaces occupy the first and second floors, with a light well providing natural light to the lower-level teen areas. Features include a recording studio, tutoring room, and diverse activity areas to meet community needs.
