On Friday, October 18 from 11-12 PM, join MAS for a visit to Beach 98th Playground, 2024 MASterworks winner for Best Urban Landscape. Adrian Hayes, Landscape Architect from NYC Parks Department’s Queens Capital Project Team, will take attendees throughout the playground, which is a beautiful contribution to the Rockaway’s post-Hurricane Sandy transformation. The Shore Front Parkway Beach 98th Playground is located on the Rockaway Boardwalk along the ocean. The scope of features in the project includes new play equipment for children of various ages, a spray shower, seating areas, a shade structure, game tables, drinking fountains and salt/wind-tolerant landscape materials.
