In this field guide facilitated by Socrates Sculpture Park, we will look at two different NY State natural clays, one from Long Island and one form Upstate. We will learn about their geological histories and piece together how they came to be in their current state, through mapping and book making. Then attendees will make clay items that honor their journey.
