Join us for an exclusive insider’s tour of some of the best public and private historic sites and homes of Philadelphia and the surrounding area.

This four-night trip includes private tours and behind-the-scenes look at some of the best cultural institutions in the city and some of the most outstanding and grandest historic homes in the greater Philadelphia area.

Tour highlights include historic country houses:

Ardrossan, the storied Main Line estate of the Montgomery family. One of the last great Main Line mansions.

Andalusia, the historic home of the Biddle family, with over two hundred years of history. Andalusia has one of the finest collections of antiques accumulated by eight generations of the Biddle family.

Stenton, an 18th century masterpiece is one of the finest intact Georgian homes in the country, complete with one of the most significant collections of 18th century American furniture.

Lynnewood Hall, a sleeping giant ready to be awakened, has only recently been rescued by a non-profit grassroots organization. Lynnewood Hall is the largest surviving Gilded Age mansion in the Philadelphia area, built by the Widener family, two members of which went down with the Titanic. The house is now accessible to visit for the first time.

In addition to these magnificent homes our Philadelphia excursion includes insider’s tours of the Hill-Physick House, Mount Pleasant, The Grange, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, historic Philadelphia Hospital and more. . . .

Travel to Philadelphia not included.

The excursion includes ground transportation, expert staff and lunch from September 16 through September 19. Hotel accommodations will be provided for those who choose from September 15 through to the morning of September 19. Please plan to arrive on September 15.

Hotel accommodations will be at Le Méridien Philadelphia.
