Bring your camera or rent a Polaroid and join Alice Austen House in exploring the industrial waterfront of Staten Island’s North Shore.

The walk will meet inside the museum’s contemporary galleries for a brief presentation on various artistic interpretations of the waterfront landscape. Following the presentation, attendees will depart as a group, starting our route at Buono Beach and following along Bay and Front Streets to Stapleton’s Waterfront Park (approx two mile round trip)*.

For those that wish to return to the museum post-walk, they will be hosting a Collaborative Zine Making Workshop, creating a group zine with photographs taken throughout the walk.

Polaroid Cameras will be available to rent free of charge and we will have Polaroid i-Type, Polaroid 600 and Instax Wide film available to purchase.

*Accessibility Note: The walk route is mostly flat. Participants should be able to comfortably walk two miles, or one mile if choosing to end at Stapleton Waterfront Park.
