The Architecture & Design Film Festival celebrates the unique creative spirit that drives our industry. ADFF:ONLINE will take place from April 3 to August 4, 2024. Every two weeks, we will offer 1-2 films from the 2023/24 season and a few from the archives. Most films are available only in the US and Canada, with a select few available worldwide.  

The Promise: Architect B.V. Doshi honors one of India’s most influential 20th-century architects, Balkrishna Doshi, who passed away this year. Doshi’s incredible legacy of captivating modern designs is matched only by his reputation as a kind and generous human being. In The Genius of the Place: The Life and Work of Geoffrey Bawa, director Afdhel Aziz introduces us to five projects by the renowned Sri Lankan architect. We encounter an ocean fortress, a jungle palace, groundbreaking private homes, and the country estate where Bawa’s ashes are buried.
