Each October for the past 14 years, Archtober has been collaborating with hundreds of NYC-based organizations across the five boroughs to present tours, lectures, workshops, panels, exhibitions, and events to create its month-long festival. Last year for the first time, we introduced an overarching theme for the annual festival that celebrates the discovery of architecture while encouraging conversation and dialogue at the leading edge of design.

Now, we are excited to announce our 2024 theme: Tracing the Future. As we embark on this annual celebration, we invite participants to explore New York City's rich architectural heritage while casting a visionary gaze towards what lies ahead. Through lenses such as affordable housing, sustainable design, infrastructure, and more, Archtober 2024 will delve into the evolving landscape of the city, building a roadmap for how the spaces we inhabit will transform in the future. We hope to spark dialogue and inspire collaboration among architects, designers, urban planners, and design enthusiasts alike, fostering inclusivity within innovation. Together, we will uncover how our built environment can adapt and thrive in an ever-changing world, laying the blueprint of tomorrow.
